Comment: I just found my student bible given to me by my parents on my happening weekend dated July of 1993 in Tempe, AZ. It is still to this day the most memorable and profound moment in my Christian Life. And one of the most serene weekends as a teenager, I simply didnt want to see it end. I will do my best to make sure that my 2 children have the chance to attend a weekend when they are teenagers.

Comment: My first (of many) weekends was #1 in Idaho in 1980. I will be serving the team for #23 here in Western NY this November. I have also attended National Happening Leadership Conferences in 2000, 2002, 2004, 2006, and 2008. Is there any information yet about NHLC 2010? If you have never attended a NHLC - it is another powerful Happening experience.

Comment: In July 1982, as the Diocesan Youth Adviser, I visited the Diocese of Pittsburgh to share in the youth ministry they were offering, and as a result Fr Scott Wilson and a team of 14 others brought Happening to the Diocese of Johannesburg in September 1982. I went on nos 1 - 13 in that Diocese. We also took it to the Diocese of Natal and Cape Town. As a youth programme it was a great gift of God to the Church. A number of priests and workers in the church have come out of the Happening experience.

Comment: I attended Happening #2 (the 2nd ever!) in the Diocese of Dallas in 1976, then helped sponsor the first Happening in Wisconsin in Spring 1977. I also attended a few other Happenings in the DFW area in 76/77. Although it's been a few years, I have many special memories of my involvement in Happening....

Comment: my happening experiance was one of the best experiance ever the only thing is that i wish that we could have all stayed for a little longer. it was amazing and i will really miss the time that i had there and i will also miss the new people i meet. but most of all the time i had there changed me i know more about god and i turned into a beautiful butterfly.

Comment: I experienced Happening in the 70's in Dallas TX (actually in Flower Mound at the retreat center). I went on #14 . I knew people from the very first happening !! I have belonged to the Methodist church for about 20 years now and recently went on A walk to Emmaus...based on Cursillo but with a methodist influence. And my daughter did Chrysallis the teen version. Made me think of my teens and my years hanging out with all my Happening friends. warm fuzzies to you all !

Comment: I attended weekend #28 in Chautauqua. it was a fun and great experience to share with such great people. i am very happy that i went and it changed my belief about god. there were tears and laughter and most of all...i made friends that care about eachother and will alway's be there no matter what. i met a very nice guy and i would have never thought that guys would care about others, but they do and i was so happy to actually talk to a guy that wouldn't judge me by looks or anything else.......Happening for me was a place to relax and be yourself around people that you care about.
